Are you kidding me!!??

The other day during a conversation with my mom she explained that her friend, Chris, took pictures of my brother to be used as his senior pictures. They sent them to Chris’ daughter who cleaned them up and sent them back. They took the disk to the store to get them printed but they wouldn’t print them. The worker told my mom they can’t print off professional pictures. They aren’t professional, just good pictures!

This is not the first time this has happened. They gave us fits when I sent my wedding pictures to the store for my mom to get. (I had the rights to the picture) They did it when Chris’ daughter set up her camera and took pictures of herself and her husband. Obviously can’t be too professional when you are in them, right!?

I was fired up so I decided I would call corporate. I explained to the customer service lady what the problem was and she said she would send the complaint to senior management. Within a few hours the manager of the store in Iowa was calling me asking for me to explain to her what was going on. She couldn’t believe what she heard and didn’t know why my mom couldn’t pick up the pictures. She asked, “Are you sure it was the store on Delaware Ave not the north store?” I checked with my mom real quick via instant messenger and sure enough the store on Delaware. The manager apologized, offered a discount for the pictures, and said she would find out who continues to give us grief. I passed the information along to my mom and told her to go get the pictures that night. If she had any problems talk to the manager.

That evening my mom texted me saying “Surprise? They won’t let me pick them up.” I replied telling her to talk to the manager. She said she did…even got in their face. Frustrated at the situation and not patient enough for my mothers slow fingers, I called her up and got the scoop. Sure enough the manager told her she needed a signed paper from the “photographer” saying she had copy rights to the pictures. AHHH! Mad, I called corporate again! I explained the situation and again the customer service agent couldn’t understand what was going on. This time she sent the complaint to the distant manager (the store manager’s boss).

I was pretty proud of myself. I was going to get this situation taken care of once and for all. Come on! Give the lady her stinkin’ pictures!! I called my mom up to tell her the news. She was happy too and was looking forward to what would happen. I then said to my mom, “Next time don’t go to Walgreens, do it online at Snapfish.” My mom paused. Then she said, “Wait! Walgreens!? I am going to Walmart.” “No. You said Walgreens.” My mom started busting up laughing. “I have been going to Walmart the whole time.” GREAT! I just made myself look like an idiot complaining to some store my mom isn’t even going to. Try calling and straightening that one out….it sounded like this, “Uh….please cancel the email to the district manager. My mom can’t get her pictures because she is going to the wrong store.” GEEZE! Ha! Ha! That will teach me to get involved in someone else’s issues. :)
