Day 115: I didn’t expect that!
If you know ANYTHING about me, you will know that I have tried every diet on the block. SERIOUSLY! Name it and I have done it. Atkins, Weight Watchers, Slim Fast, Nutrisystem, LA Weight Loss….oh wait! I have never tried the Special K diet. I would never last eating cereal, a protein bar, a meal bar, and crackers everyday.
I know I am going to be working with a nutritionist at the start of the new year but I needed a little something to get me down a few before I eat all the Christmas cookies, shrimp dip, hot chocolate, and candy in my stocking. (Do I sound like I am already planning on eating everything in sight? If not let me just say, I am planning on eating everything in site. he he) On Pinterest I found a diet that claims to help you lose up to 10 lbs in 3 days. You are on the diet for 3 days, off for 4 days, on for 3, off for 4, etc. I KNOW! Not healthy and you will gain it all back. The comments and reviews I read from it said things like “I was able to keep it off.” “Love this diet.” “I saw results and so will you.”
I figured it couldn’t hurt. What would it hurt to loose a little bit before the Christmas feasting begins? So I gave it a shot. It was only three days…if it didn’t work I only lost three days….not 6 months and tons of money.
Here is the plan:
DAY 1:
Breakfast–1/2 Grapefruit, 1 Slice of Toast, 2 Tablespoons of Peanut Butter, and Coffee or Tea
Lunch--1/2 Cup of Tuna, 1 Slice of Toast, and Coffee or Tea (any brew, as long as it’s caffeinated…I substituted diet hot chocolate)
Dinner–3 ounces of any type of meat, 1 Cup of Green Beans, 1/2 Banana, 1 Small Apple, and 1 Cup of Vanilla Ice Cream (YUM)!!!
DAY 2:
Breakfast–1 egg, 1 Slice of Toast, and 1/2 Banana
Lunch–1 Cup of Cottage Cheese (Or 1 Slice of Cheddar Cheese), 1 Hard Boiled Egg, and 5 Saltine Crackers
Dinner--2 Hot Dogs, (no buns), 1 Cup of Broccoli, 1/2 Cup of Carrots, 1/2 Banana, and 1/2 Cup of Vanilla Ice Cream
DAY 3:
Breakfast–5 Saltine Crackers, 1 Slice of Cheddar Cheese, and 1 Small Apple
Lunch-1 Hard-Boiled Egg, and 1 Slice of Toast
Dinner–1 Cup of Tuna, 1/2 of a Banana, and 1 Cup of Vanilla Ice Cream

Yesterday was day 4….in the morning I stepped on the scale and….
DOWN 6.6 POUNDS! WOOT! WOOT! (PS. I got ingrown toenails fixed. That is my my toes are wrapped up. I haven’t taken up pointe ballet.) And all without ANY exercise!!
Would I do it again? Probably. I am going to try to keep it off during these four days and maybe I will start again on Wednesday. Get a little jump start on my New Year’s resolution and before I meet with the nutritionist.





























I would never have made it 3 days on that.That is like eating nothing!!! I got hungry just reading the diet!
