Day 125: What’s Not Working?
About a week ago I got the coolest gadget…a Fitbit One. (Read my review on it HERE) This cool little buddy tells you how many steps you have walked, how many flights of stairs you climbed, how many calories you have burned, how active you are, how well you sleep, and how many miles you have traveled. It is like a pedometer on some major Lance Armstrong goods. Fancy, I tell you. Fancy.
Ever since I got this I have been more conscience of my activity level. At the end of the night if I haven’t gone up any flights of stairs I go run my staircase for 10 minutes. I have been do a killer 4 minute workout. It is called The World’s Fastest Workout.
That is tough! Of course the first time is tough but every time I do it, it still kicks my butt.
Anyway, I have been getting in more steps, more stairs, and more 4 minute bursts of cardio than I have had in the last little bit.
Up until Fitbit made its appearance I was losing weight..12 lbs since the New Year to be precise. Then when I start paying attention to how active I am being and throwing in some cardio bursts and stairs what happens? I GAIN WEIGHT! What in the….
I started thinking, “What’s not working?” I am following my diet EXACTLY. I was working out like an gym rat. I was drinking tons of water. Yet, I gain weight?! Baffled.
Then I went to my nutritionist for my weekly weigh in. Although my scale weight was up my body fat percentage was down. It was actually down more than it had been in weeks past. How does that work? I do not get that.
So what’s not working? Nothing. Everything is working.
I want my scale weight to go down (I am only 1 1/2 el bees from my pre-pregnancy weight) but having my body fat percent down will work too.
Nope. I will never be sad again!
