I have been EXTREMELY busy these last few weeks….I will get to that later. For now though I need to catch up on a few things.

One part I really like about it is the scrapbook part. It makes scrapbooking so easy. You don’t have to store all your stuff or wish you could afford other things. You don’t have to clean up the mess you make. You don’t have to worry about what to do when you spell a word wrong…cover it up or start over…nah! just hit delete.
Lulu has two different ways to make scrapbooking easy as pie:
1. Upload your pictures and have Lulu decide how they fit in your book—this would be perfect for a wedding book
2. Upload your pictures and you decide what order and layout they go in–this would be perfect for a vacation album so you can remember which day you did things on
Either way, you just pick which theme you like. There are a bunch to choose from so don’t stress. You can add text too. It really is super simple!
The books turn out beautifully! They are high quality and ship fast!

I can’t believe I have hit my 300th post! I can still remember the day I started my blog. I was sitting in my apartment and it was raining outside. I wrote a post about the funniest temple day I had ever experienced. I was also working on remodeling the Heritage lobby. I totally felt like I was doing it along. Ahhh! The memories!! One day I am going to have a baby….NO! I am still not announcing anything! When I do have a little tiny thing I am going to fill that child up with music. Why? Here are my reasons:
1. Music has the ability to comfort and soothe children. I am really going to need to have calm kids!!
2. Music helps children learn about rhythm, timing, orientation, and coordination. My kids better be dancers…I have big plans for them. Nothing like living out your dreams through your children right! 
3. A child’s brain develops fast when they are very young, with 80 percent of brain development occurring by age 3, and 90 percent by age 5, music helps with making connections in the brain. It is a known fact that music is linked to improved math, memory and reading skills. No one wants kids that struggle to develop properly and I don’t want mine to either.
4. Children enjoy music so incorporating music into activities at home and in child care can help make learning enjoyable and therefore easier for children. I am so excited to teach my little kiddos and I will take anything that will make it easier for them to learn.

So what kind of music do mothers play in their homes? Growing up, I listened to what we now call “Oldies.” I also listened to a lot of Disney music…that is why I can’t just sit and watch a Disney movie…I am singing along!
Music has changed so much though that I get nervous to play music that when my kids are my age will be considered “oldies”. I don’t know about you all but I don’t want my kids growing up to Eminem, Pussycat Dolls, and Kanye. I just want good clean music…but if you know me well you know I won’t be able to handle 100% goodie goodie music.
That is why I love Cradle Rock. These cd’s take the music I love and changes them into kid friendly versions. Example…if you played Michael Jackson’s “Thriller” to your 6 month old it isn’t really going to soothe them. If you play Cradle Rock’s version of Thriller it will. Not to mention you won’t go insane listening to The Wiggles, Kidz Bop or heaven forbid, Barney.
Cradle Rock currently has three cd’s:
Kenny Chesney, Michael Jackson, and Johnny Cash. How fun are those! My favorite is Michael Jackson. It is fun to hear his music made into lullaby type music. I know the words and what it should sound like but it won’t be too much for little ears to enjoy. Hooray for enjoyable kid music…good for them and good for mom.

Remember when I got my laptop?
Oh how I love my little buddy! It has made life so much easier. I can work on personal things at work during slow times. I can blog while being a passenger in the car. Overall, I feel like I can be more productive.
The only bummer part, I didn’t have a wireless mouse. Do you know how hard it is to win a gave of Bejeweled with a touch pad!? Not too easy! I didn’t want to purchase on though because I didn’t know which one are worth buying.
