Craving Chocolate and Lazy Days

Day 5

Day 5–weight: 175 lbs.

Day 5 was another simple day. I had chicken, cauliflower, melba toast, and 6 large strawberries for lunch. It was actually quite tasty….although it is kind of hard to eat meat without something to dip it in…like BBQ sauce, ranch, etc. I was going to eat right before dance (5:00 pm) but I left work late and didn’t have time to cook the chicken. I figured I would eat when I got home and then I totally spaced it until about 11:00 pm while laying in bed. Bummer!

Weight lost since day 1: 4 lbs.

Day 4

I woke up….went to the restroom….stepped on the scale and it said….175.8 lbs!! Yea!! I lost almost 4 lbs. from the day before. I was so excited to start seeing results already…and GREAT ones at that.

The day was simple…lunch and dinner consisted of lobster, a tomato, an apple, and melba toast. I know it may sound a little like Day3 but I really like apples and tomatoes. The lobster was prepackaged, precooked, and precut. NOTE: Lobster tastes a lot different when it isn’t dipped in butter before evry bite. :) After I ate it, I flipped it over to read the back and noticed it was actually lobster and pollock pieces. Interesting….but good thing I have can pollock too!

Total weight loss since day one: 3.2 lbs

Day 3--First Day of Phase 2

Day 3–weight 179.6 lbs. Can you believe after eating like a PIG that last 2 days I only gained .6 lbs.!? Sometimes my body DOES like me. Imagine the

Day 3 was a lot easier than I thought it would be. It began Phase 2…the restricted calorie plus drops phase. In this phase you can not have breakfast. I will admit that this part is a little tough for me because when I wake up the first thing I think of is “food!” However, I can have any no calorie drinks I want until lunch…herbal tea, crystal light, or water. It actually wasn’t so bad. I like liquid filled me up. For lunch and dinner you eat the same thing…not quite sure why but the rules are the rules for a reason. So for each meal I had steak with a little Mrs. Dash seasoning, a tomato, a fuji apple, and a piece of melba toast. I lasted until the next meal just fine. I made sure to drink my liquids and made it!

This diet actually isn’t so bad. I can say that because I am just starting :) Hopefully it will stay in the “it isn’t so bad” mode until the end. I am using “The Secret” and it WILL stay in that mode. The whole thing IS easy. :)

Day 2--The Last Day of Phase 1

Day 1 was delicious…however I think I made myself a little sick. I NEVER eat that much junk. I tasted good but laying in bed that night sounded like a thunder storm in my tummy. Cafe Rio + Hot Chocolate + Churro= Mad stomach.

Day 2…weight 179.4 lbs(only up .4 lbs after Day 1′s feast) I took it a little easier for Day 2. I ate a “Bagelful” for breakfast. For all the non-dieters, it is like a burrito but a bagel with cream cheese in the middle. Delightful! Lunch consisted of 2 beef chalupa supremes and a soft taco from Taco Bell. In the middle of the after noon I had a fun sized Reese’s Peanut Butter Cup and a fun sized bag of plain M&M’s. Two friends I will miss dearly! For dinner I decided I was going full out! We went to Cold Stone Creamery and I got a “Gotta Have It” size (the big ol’ one) of Jello’s Butterscotch flavored ice cream with carmel, Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups, and Butterfinger in it. HEAVENLY! I couldn’t even eat the whole thing! What is wrong with me? Ice cream and I are like flowers and sun…we take as much as we can get. :) Then Adam and I sat down to a Little Ceaser’s hawaiian pizza–becuase I was full from the ice cream so I better eat more right!? A classic Crissa thing. I ate one big piece and one small piece and fell alseep on the floor. What a way to finish off Phase 1!

Next Up: Phase 2: Restricted Calorie Diet + Drops

Taking a New Path--Day 1

Weight has always been an issue with me, as it is with a lot of people. I have tried everything… literally! Weight watchers, Nutrisystem, LA Weight Loss, South Beach Diet, Slim Fast, work out videos, a nutritionist, EVERYTHING! I have seen success with some but I can never seem to keep it off. Partly due to my lack of self control and partly due to the diet. Some diets restricted me from everything for so long that I either gave up the diet or when I got off, I pigged out! Some diets didn’t even work…waste of money, time, and effort. I have just had a tough time getting and keeping the results I want. PS…I love P90x but it kicks my butt so badly, that I can’t do it like I am suppose to. I am too sore!

Now, I have turned over a new leaf. I am motivated to keep my slate clean once I get it that way. The trick is getting it cleaned. So…I am attempting the HCG diet. I am doing the homeopathic drops (purchased for $50). I learned about this program through a co-worker who saw success on it. The great part is, you should see progress DAILY! The exact motivation I need to stay on the diet. No one likes to see the scale stay the same but feel like they are kicking their butt to lose the weight. My plan is to keep a daily journal here to perhaps inspire others, give incite to the program, answer questions, and keep me motivated to keep going. So here goes…

DAY 1
Today is the beginning of Phase 1. Phase one is the fat storing phase. The information provided to me basically say this is a way to get the body use to the HCG and store fat that I will soon use. The plan…take 10 drops 3 times a day and eat fat to capisity. I am counseled to eat ice cream, pastries, pies, whipped cream, etc. HEY! This is my kind of diet! Eat all the fat I want. OKAY! Done! Some people gain weight on this portion, but the matieral you lose that weight quickly. For me though, I am sure I won’t gain….I eat fattening things often….very often….hence, being on a diet.

I started the day off weighing and measuring. Weight: 179 lbs. (shh! Don’t spread that piece of info.) Unfortunately this is not the highest my weight has even been but pretty dang close. Measurements: Chest: 41″ Waist: 35″ Hips: 44″ Thigh: 23″ Calf: 13″ Bicep: 12 1/4″ YIKES! Scary…but motivation! Then I ate a big bowl of Kix (Kid-tested, Mother Approved :) ) with skim milk. The program doesn’t allow milk to be consumed or breakfast so I had to get in a big bowl of cereal.

For lunch I thought “They say to eat fat so here goes!” I ordered from Steak Out. I got a 7 oz. chopped steak with a dinner roll, baked potato–loaded! (Cheese, bacon bits, sour cream, and butter), and 1 oatmeal raisin cookies. YEE HAW! I even saved a salad with ranch and another cookie until the end but I was too stuffed. Hey! Just following the program.

Throughout the afternoon I had some Wendy’s french fries, the other cookie, and some vanilla ice cream. Dinner will consist of a Cafe Rio pork burrito and then washed down by a famous SCERA Shell churro and a hot chocolate. All things I will not be having again for quite some time. Have to get it out of my system AND follow Phase 1.

Stay tuned daily for details on the diet…
