Cell phone companies are really starting to tick me off!  I am currently with Sprint…if you aren’t with them STAY THAT WAY!

Last month I went in to Sprint to get a new phone.  After my fell into a cup of chocolate milk, it was having some major issues.  I found out I could either pay $120 for a new Palm Pre or I could pay $200 for the brand new, top of the line EVO.  I figured that I might as well suck up the $80, get a bigger screen, duel cameras, and a 4G phone than pay $120 for the same one I had.  So I fork out $300 (waiting for a $100 rebate) and get a cool phone.

This last month I have enjoyed having my EVO.  Despite it freezing up a few times and telling me I was in a different country and a different time zone, I have liked it.  Then I go to pay my bill.  WHAT THE HECK IS THIS PREMIUM DATA CHARGE!?  $10 for premium data?  I thought I had unlimited everything.  So I give Sprint a call to ask them about the new charge.  A representative explains that with the EVO it has 4G and the $10 fee pays for the 4G.  TIME OUT!  I don’t have 4G in my area. I questioned why if I don’t have 4G do I have to pay for something I can’t use?  The representative says that the charge comes with the phone and can not be changed. How ridiculous, especially because when I bought the phone I was not told about the charge.  $240 more during my new two year contract I had to sign for something I can’t use is not happening folks!  I am told my options are to return the EVO (since I am still in my 30 day trial) or suck it up and pay it.

The next day Sprint sends me a survey asking if everything was resolved.  DUH!  NO!  It wasn’t!  Yesterday, Sprint calls me.  They say they are calling to resolve issues that weren’t previously resolved.  15 wasted minutes later I hear the same thing…return the phone or suck it up.

Last night I went and checked out AT&T.  I find out that it will cost me $96/ month for the service I need with AT&T.  Well at Sprint I only pay $62 if I don’t have the EVO.  I can’t justify paying $10/month more so there is no way I am paying $24 more.  However, at this point $24 a month and getting away from the many issues I have had with Sprint is sounding great.

After much thought, I decided to stay with Sprint and pay $62/ month and downgrade my phone.  So I call Sprint today and ask when my 30 day mark is up so I know when I have to get into a store by to make the switch.  I give them yet another call and guess what I hear…”Your 30 day mark was on Monday.”  WHAT THE!!  I explained to the lady that during the last three days, each time I talked to a representative they gave me the option of returning the EVO and all stated I was still in my 30 day mark.  Now I have missed it by TWO DAYS!!!  AHHHHH!!!!!  The representative told me it is up to the store I purchased it at to see if they will return it.  ARE YOU KIDDING ME!?  Now I have to go in to the store and see what they say.  Suddenly that $24/ month is sounding better and better.

I wish cell phone companies didn’t try to take more money from you than necessary. Honestly does Sprint really need my $240 when I am not using their 4G network?  Does AT&T really need to charge $96 (and that is with a $10/month discount) for the same service I get at Sprint for $62?  Does Sprint really need to say “no take backs” after 32 days but 30 days is okay?  I wish I could find an honest cell phone company to get service through that I am not ticked at every time there is an issue. What happened to the old saying, “The customer is always right”?!

I missed last Wednesday so I am DETERMINED to not miss today too!  I know it is 11:25 pm so this could look a little obsessed but let’s face it…I am! :-)

Look at this great necklace I found on Etsy.  I LOVE it!

(found on OneLifeJewelry)

The seller puts it perfectly:

I am human.
Sometimes I wake up pissed at the day…mad, late, frantic, disheveled.
Because my overnight package never came.
The APR on my credit card went up.
My loose jeans are tight. {AMEN SISTA!}
I said yes to yet another thing when I should have said no.
And yet,
my heart beats for me
my lungs fill me with air
my ears listen to my children at play
and my family thinks I’m beautiful.

This necklace is the perfect reminder that life is wonderful. Lately, I have needed this reminder more than ever.  My anger and moods can sometimes take over and send me into a tail spin.  My dear husband puts up with the ups and downs and helps me to see that although my skinny jeans are tight life is beautiful.

Today I am wishing for this Blessed necklace.  I am also wishing for one to share with someone who could use the same little reminder I frequently need.

What are you wishing for today?

{Thank OneLifeJewelry….whoever you are….you sure have helped me reflect on my life today!}

I am so sorry I missed last week’s Wish List Wednesday and haven’t been around much. I had such a busy and crazy week. Plus I am working on my blog…it is driving me bonkers!

(In the top part my enter button will work but now it won’t GRR!) This week I have my eye on this baby!

I wish I had the Stainless Steel Multipot with Mesh Inserts from Williams-Sonoma.

image

It is specially designed so water escapes instantly when removing either insert – no shaking required!! I bet a woman invented this! I can just imagine cooking my pasta, green beans, corn on the cob, potatoes, etc! If I had enough guts to try lobster it would be perfect for that too.

It is $150…expensive but you get what you pay for right? What are you wishing for today?

I got an email with the greatest thing in it! Look!

This is called the Zoku from Williams Sonoma. It is pretty much the greatest summer must-have out there!

Just pop the base in the freezer. Pour anything you want frozen into a popsicle into the mold. Wait 7 minutes and VOILA! a homemade popsicle. Isn’t that awesome!

I wish I had a Zoku so I could make some delicious frozen treats. I can just taste them now!

I LOVE watches!  Especially Watchin’ Out watches.   In fact, today I am wearing one like this.  A little different beads but pretty close.

imageMixing up watches or watch bands is fun.  I never get sick of wearing the same watch over and over.  Plus I can make a band or have Watchin’ Out make a band to fit my outfit PERFECTLY!

This being said there is a watch I want that isn’t a Watchin’ Out watch.  I KNOW!  I am a sinner but check out how cute this watch is!

image I wish I had this Michael Kors watch!  It is so gorgeous! It is all white with a little bling and silver.  The band is silver unlike this look alike Fossil that has a silicone band.  SILICONE!?  How weird!

image

The Michael Kors watch has a mother of pearl face with three sub dials.  Isn’t is a beauty!?

image

I know a price tag of $225 (or 20 Watchin’ Out bands) is a bit high but I would promise to treat it good, look hot while wearing it, and make it feel special but not owning another white watch while it is in my possession!

Oh I WISH I had the Michael Kors White Midsized Acrylic Watch with Glitz!!

I love to workout.  Recently I haven’t done it as often as I should and would like though.  I don’t blame anyone but myself.  I have just been so darn busy.

Is it strange to say, “I miss working out”? Call me crazy if you want, but I miss going to the gym.  I miss the sweat.  I miss running around town.  I miss seeing my muscles start to get toned.  I have never seen my abs or I would miss seeing those.  I can still see my toes though…knock on wood!

I have the motivation to work out.  I love going to kickbox and spin classes.  I love feeling sore.  I love laughing at all the girls in the gym who come all dolled up, wear big hoop earrings, and never touch a machine.  I love getting up early and going before work.  (It gives me energy to get through the day.)  I love working out in the evening.  (It gives me something to look forward to and keeps me from pigging out on ice cream at night.)

imageAlthough I have the motivation to workout I wish I had a workout  buddy.  I think it would be so fun to pick up your friend, go the gym, sweat, laugh at each other when they complaining, motivate each other after laughing to get going again, and then bask in front of the mirror at our new found (at least for me) hot bodies.  Even just a running partner would be great.  Passing the time listening to music works but I think it would be fun to run and chit chat….may take me a while to be able to breath, run, and talk at the same time but I would love to take the challenge.

I would be a good workout buddy because I love to workout, talk, laugh, am dependable, wear cute workout clothes (this would keep the partner from being embarrassed to go with me), stay up on Hollywood gossip, and am motivated to exercise.

There are three great benefits to having a workout buddy:

1. You become great friends.  Having a great friend is always a plus.

2. Having someone to motivate and help motivate me is helpful in reaching goals and becoming a babe-a-licious lady

3. It would make exercise more of a priority and not so easily passed up on.

Just look at these pictures of people with workout companions.  They all look happy, like they are having a great time, motivated, and best of all fit!

image  image image image

 image   image

I have tried to have a workout partner before but one of two things always happens…1—it is just talk and never really happens  or 2—we decide on a time and then my partner bails.  It would be great to find someone who is also motivated to get in shape, is dependable, and is fun to be around.  Anyone want to put in an application?  :)

I wish I had a workout partner.

As you know I have the cutest little puppy ever!  Max is so fun and full of energy.  She loves to help me on the computer…
P1020758and loves to play dress up!
P1020768

In fact she has so much energy I don’t get much sleep at night because she is constantly moving around or in last night’s case barking at random times in the middle of the night because she heard a noise.

Adam says he and Max have a love hate relationship.  I just love Max too much to “hate” her so I think I have a “lots of love and some frustration” relationship.  Because Max is still a puppy she does puppy things—nips at you to get you to play, chews on anything she can get her teeth into (shoes, purses, socks, rugs, wall molding…), and having trouble sleeping at night.

During the day Max is in an exercise pen.  There is enough room for her food, litter box, bed, and for her to play.  Here is a little video of her in it.(Sorry it is sideways!  It is still funny though.)

That is right.  My little puppy is part monkey!  She learned to climb out of her exercise pen.  I came home from work two days in a row and she was just running around the house.  Now all the sides have plexiglass on them so she can’t climb.

One of the puppy things she does bugs me the most…going potty in the wrong spot.  (At the beginning of May I blogged about it HERE and just after we bought her in April I talked about it HERE.)  We are training Max to go potty in a litter box because Adam and I are gone during the day.  We don’t move the litter box because we don’t want her to get confused.  However, she still doesn’t get it.

Here are some examples of what she does:  (pictures are not of Max but other puppies who have potty issues)

Max puts her front paws in the
litter box but goes potty outside of
  the box.

Sometimes Max doesn’t even go IN
the box but stands just outside of it.

Max knows where the litter box is
but only uses it when I put her in it
or when she is home and in her
exercise pen and can’t get out to
go anywhere else.  When I am
home with her it is like she is too
busy to go to the litter box and just
stop where she is and goes.  Even if
the litter box is in the same room as
  her.

Max has gone potty on almost
  every rug in the house.

I wish Max would catch on to house training and go potty in the litter box like a good girl.

Any tips, tricks, or helpful hints of how to help Max learn that the only place to go potty is in her litter box would be very appreciated!

What do you think?  Do I scrap the litter and go with one of these indoor pet pottys?

Or maybe just give up on house training and keep these little babies on her?

Now that spring is just about here….I say just about because it snowed on Monday here in Utah…I would love to spend some time out in the sunshine.  I love closing my eyes, feeling the breeze on my face, being barefoot, and listening to the birds.  How great would it be to spend the spring, summer, and fall in this!

Isn’t that the greatest hammock ever!?  It is called Wave, by Royal Botania.  WAVE is built using electro-polished stainless steel and 2 types of perforated fabric, one for the upper roof section and another for the seated area.  WAVE looks like it is floating and is pivoted on one single point at the base. The construction is strong enough to withstand the weight of people and weather conditions.  The fabric is semi transparent, however it has the properties to block 86% of the sun’s rays.  The WAVE can gently swing if required or remain static for ultimate serenity.  Plus, it can rotate 90˚ around the base, giving it additional flexibility depending on the position of the sun.

Doesn’t that sound heavenly?!?!  Too bad the price tag doesn’t….$23,439!!  WHAT!  That has GOT to be the most expensive hammock ever!  But I beat it is awesome!

If I ever have loads of money to spend on whatever I want, you better believe I am getting this!  Or…if Royal Botania wants me to review the WAVE, I could handle that.  :D

CHOO! CHOO!

Look what I did today: P1020679

What?  Can’t tell?  Here…look closer!P1020669

I GOT BRACES!

(the little blue you see is a stopper…to keep me from biting down on my bottom front brackets)

I am so excited!  I went in to Berg Orthodontics for a consultation as a recommendation from a fellow dance competition judge.  Dr. Berg was ranked #1 in his School of Dentistry class and was excepted as 1 of 6 into the USC orthodontist program.

Dr. Berg does speed braces.  A newer technology to speed up the amount of time spent in braces resulting in fewer cavities, healthier gums, healthier roots, less decalcification (permanent white spots on the front of your teeth), and better results.  Also, he limits the number of patients he sees daily so he can spend much more time with every patient at each appointment….making patients get done faster.  Many orthodontists see as many as 100+ patients/day.  Dr. Berg sees less than 40.

During my consultation Dr. Berg told me I would not need oral surgery (as stated by a different orthodontist at a previous consultation) and it would only take 1 – 1.5 years (unlike the “hopefully two” I heard from the previously mentioned orthodontist).  PLUS, speed braces would be cheaper from Dr. Berg than the other orthodontist I considered, who would be doing old school braces.  Also, if I decided to get them I could go to a 4:00 appointment and take the spot of someone who canceled…in exchanged they would wave the $200 x-rays, molds, and records fee as a way of them not sitting around for two hours.

After a good long talk with the hubby, he said YES to train tracks on my teeth!

I called up the orthodontist office and snagged the 4:00 appointment.  When I went in I thought I was getting x-rays and molds done and would be coming back for brackets.  To my surprise, the 2 hour appointment included getting on my brackets!!

So in 12-18 months expect to see an after picture containing some glamorous teeth!

Thanks Adam for making another wish list item come true! I love you! (Aren’t I a lucky wife!?)

I am in desperate need of a vacation.  I don’t know if it is that I am sick of snow in May and need sun shine, if it is that I am so tired I just need a day to sleep, or if it is because I truly need to get away.  Whatever the reason I need one.  Here is where I am wishing to go (NOTE: I am opening to going ANYWHERE, this just sounds good):

Ultimate Book of Mormon Land Tour with Honduras
11 Day Tour

Why do I want to go here?  A few reasons–

—It is in the sun…enough said when you understand that Snowbird just received 4” of snow today and still has a 120” base on May 11th!!  Folks, we are 3 weeks from JUNE and it is still snowing in Utah!  I need sun!

–You get to stay in luxury hotels—4 and 5 stars.  Well…Mexican luxury…but hey!  it is better then a Mexican motel.

–Internal air arrangements.  This means you don’t driving for 4 days on bad roads, plus 3-4 nights in a cheap hotel!

–Lots of places to see.  Here are a few:

•Mexico City: The great ruins of Teotihuacán

•Ruins of Palenque: considered by many as the best in Central America
•Travel by boat on the Mayan Nile – considered by many to be the River Sidon
•Ruins of Yaxchilan – possible candidate for the city of Zarahemla
•Ruins of Tikal: Probably the most impressive ruins in Central America

•Ruins of Kaminaijuyu: Prime candidate for the first city of Nephi
•Ruins of Copan: Fabulous set of ruins located in the country of Honduras
•Guatemala City: The once vast city of Nephi is perhaps the city that is buried beneath this capital
•Lake Atitlan: prime candidate for the “Waters of Mormon”

–LDS tour with special guest Dr. John Lund.

–Put a picture with what could be the places I have been reading about all my life in the Book of Mormon!  I would love to see these places and learn more about the history behind them.
–If you would like a free Book of Mormon send me an email: crissa17@hotmail.com  I will mail your very own copy to anywhere in the world—ANYWHERE!  I promise it will be the best present you will ever get…or give!–

Doesn’t this trip sound incredible?  I wish I could go on this tour in June!
